    Art Of Community on Kindle?

A lot of people have been asking me if The Art Of Community will be available for the Amazon Kindle. I asked O’Reilly and there is a reasonable likelihood it will, but no confirmation yet. So, Kindle fans, is that the end of the story? Well, no…

Its time to vote with your feet. Or rather, your mouse.

Amazon have a feature that allows you to share your desire to see a given title on Kindle. Its simple: you click the link, and they let the publisher know.

So, if you want to see The Art Of Community available on the Kindle: click here. Thanks!

Thanks, David! Do you have a blog or website to pop a button onto?

Indeed I do. Working on getting them up and running 100% though. Just need to find the time to get them on all my sites. I’ll post a link on the ‘button’ post on this site when it’s up.

      Cheers, David

You don’t need your publisher’s cooperation to make the book available on Kindle: just open a seller’s account at Amazon’s DTP, convert the book to Kindle format (a pretty straightforward bit of coding) and upload. It could be available on the Kindle store tomorrow, traditional forms of publishing being totally irrelevant. And of course because it’s CC-licensed, it will be available for free on the Kindle the day after it’s posted on the web.

Done! I’m alllll about the Kindle books these days. I hate to read on anything else now, so having this (must have) book in a format I’ll actually read is a huge benefit! :)

I voted too and I will tell my friends to do the same.
